5mC and 5hmC immunolabelling in the embryo gonads at 14dpc, 15dpc and 19dpc. 5mC was not detected in PGC (arrows) at 14dpc (a). At 15dpc (b) 5mC was detected in most PGC (arrows), although very few PGC were still negative (arrowhead). At 19dpc 5mC was detected in all gonocytes (arrows) (c).
